What is It? Personal Development or Personal Growth

When you are born you have every single attribute, all untouched and in perfect condition, that would, allow you, untouched, make a success in any field of endeavor you wanted to be in and abundant in all aspects of life, such as relationships, health and well being and time and money freedom. By the time you reach 20, only doing what they think is best, your parents and grandparents, teachers and friends have molded you.

In your schooling, your tertiary education and in the business and corporate world there is no training on how to be the best possible version of you, you could possibly be. You are on your own.

Attitude – Get It Right – Get Things Done.


I have studied and read many books and have listened and worked with many successful mentors. The very best description of success I have heard came from Earl Nightingale. “Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.” It is not an overnight sensation. It is a journey culminating in the achievement of your goals. Attitude is the driving force. Attitude is the composite of your thoughts, feelings and actions which in turn produces your results.

A goal lacks the prestige and significance of a worthy ideal. A worthy ideal represents the high energy that fuels your mind and body to travel through those severe storms you know you will encounter. This ideal inspires greater awareness of the abundance of life – real life. Your worthy ideal is your heart’s desire. The heart is the divine side of your nature. Follow your heart, let your imagination fly.

Roy T Bennett said. “Attitude is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. Whatever choice you make, makes you. Choose wisely.”

Decision – How to make the Right Decision.


The subject of decision, properly understood, contains as much if not more potential for good than any other lesson you could study. Mastering the ability to make effective decisions quickly will create what many people would consider to be a charmed life. Decision makers go to the top, while those who do not make decisions seem to go no where.

Paul Arden said “If you always make the right decision, the safe decision, the one most people make, you will be the same as everyone else.”

Mhairi McFarlane said “Do nothing, and nothing happens. Life is about decisions. You either make them or they’re made for you, but you can’t avoid them.”

Decisions, or lack of them, are responsible for breaking or making of many a career. Individuals who have become proficient at making decisions, without being influenced by others, are the same people who create financial freedom. However, it is not only your income that is affected by decisions. Your whole life is affected by decisions. The health of your mind and body, the well-being of your family, your social life, the type of relationships you develop – are all dependent on making sound decisions – asking the right questions.

Set Goals – How you Create the Life you Want


Goal setting is designed to assist anybody in bridging the gap which lies between where you presently are in your life and where you truly want to be.

Demosthenes said “Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises” and Abraham Maslow said “If you plan on being anything less than you are capable of being you will probably be unhappy all the days of your life.”

A goal will provide the necessary incentive for you to grow in awareness. All things are possible. Every aspect of your life is a mirror reflection of your own level of awareness. Your awareness is of the power you have, and the desire you have, to change your life. Awareness gives meaning to life. This awareness requires replacing old conditioning, conditioning which is genetic and environmental.

A Goal’s Purpose

Our conditioning is a multitude of habits that we have collected over time. We all have a host of habits which require replacing. These habits are causing the unwanted results we are currently getting. These habits are stifling our growth. They are negative and destructive.Negative habits if broken and not replaced by positive habits will almost immediately be replaced by another negative habit.

What Would Would You Love – Define Your Dream

Oprah Winfrey said “The biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams.”. You can create in your mind whatever life you would love to live. There a 3 main steps to learning what you love – defining your dream:

  1. Create with clarity a specific dream.
  2. Decline to stay discouraged.
  3. Be more interested in growth than comfort in service of your dream.

Connect with your dreams and begin to accept your thoughts and ideas as viable possibilities in your life. Consider how different your life would be if you believed in yourself more and lived your dream by refusing to give up.

Learn to give yourself space to imagine the possibilities of what you would love for every area of your life, no matter what your current circumstances are. We all have the capacity to break free of the conditions in our life that are not in alignment with our dream. All we have to recognize our true ability, define our dream and then do what we would love.

Change Your Thoughts – Change Your Life

Why can 2 similar businesses in close proximatey to each other achieve dramatically different results? Why in tight financial economies can one business still do exceptionally well while all others fail.

We are products of other peoples habitual way of thinking. Namely, parents, grandparents, teachers and friends. Their thinking, becoming our thoughts, has made most of us the way we are today.

Thoughts are very important. We become what we think about. They control every decision we make. Everything happens twice. First when we think about it and secondly when it becomes reality. We are required to replace our old conditioning and replace negative habits with positive ones to change our lives. Most of us are followers. We need to choose our own thoughts rather than accept them from outside sources.

My Story

My name is Stephen and I am the Founder/Owner of Club Success.Co. I am married to my lovely wife Annie and we live in Lane Cove, Sydney Australia with our 14-year-old groodle, Milly. We have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. I am an identical twin with my brother being 15 minutes older. I also have a younger sister. We are a very close family.

I grew up in an era where at school we were disciplined to an extent where initiative and imagination was taken from us. It wasn’t until later that I realised this was a restriction to personal growth and success. I had my first business at the age of 28 and from that time slowly learnt the value of personal development. I have been continuing to learn and grow since then and understanding the importance of my own growth.

I have been a successful business owner since my first business growing businesses and helping people, within the work environment, to discover their limitations, overcome them and build their success. One of the most satisfying aspects of life is to see people grow and achieve their goals

Being a good student has allowed so much in my life to change for the better. My mental focus used to always focus on what I didn’t have, what I was lacking and why I couldn’t do the things I dreamed about. Being a good student caused me to focus on what I could do. has r me to travel extensively and be a Director on several Company Boards.

Helping people understand their potential and how to develop it, is important to me. We are the only person reasonable for our own life. Improving the quality of your life to a degree that is very likely, at this time, beyond the scope of your imagination sounds daunting. I want you to learn to work at developing your strengths and managing your weaknesses and develop a healthy respect for your potential and capabilities.

There is untold cultural and publishing phenomenon that has been tailored made to help people down on their luck and down in the dumps survive the most trying difficulties. Not all are beneficial. My goal is to:
