Making a difference in other people’s life.

Attitude – Get It Right – Get Things Done.

I have studied and read many books and have listened and worked with many successful mentors. The very best description of success I have heard came from Earl Nightingale. “Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.” It is not an overnight sensation. It is a journey culminating in the achievement of your goals. Attitude is the driving force. Attitude is the composite of your thoughts, feelings and actions which in turn produces your results.

A goal lacks the prestige and significance of a worthy ideal. A worthy ideal represents the high energy that fuels your mind and body to travel through those severe storms you know you will encounter. This ideal inspires greater awareness of the abundance of life – real life. Your worthy ideal is your heart’s desire. The heart is the divine side of your nature. Follow your heart, let your imagination fly.

Roy T Bennett said. “Attitude is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. Whatever choice you make, makes you. Choose wisely.”

Our content for today is:

  • Thoughts.
  • Feelings.
  • Actions.
  • Keep Improving.
  • Produce Regardless.

James Allen said, Until thought is linked with purpose there is no intelligent purpose.” Thought is the preamble to everything. Your ability to originate thought and mentally move in a thought filled world is your guarantee of an abundant life.

Rates of vibration are known as frequencies and the higher the frequency, the more potent it becomes. Thought is one of the highest forms of vibration. When you choose certain thoughts, brain cells are affected. They send off vibrations and electric waves. When you concentrate on those thoughts you increase the amplitude of vibration and become much more potent.

If your energy is neither created or destroyed, everything you will ever want is already here. It is a simple matter of choosing the thoughts that will put you into harmonious vibration with the good you desire.

People as a rule are either positive personalities or negative personalities. Those who are positive in their thought tend to look on the brighter side of life and see good even in the bad. Those who are negative in their thought tend to look upon the gloomy side of life and see bad even in the good. Invariably both groups get what they are looking for. You have free will. You can choose which of these two personalities you wish to portray.

No one can cause you to feel bad. You cause these feelings yourself. You will control your own feelings when you have developed complete control of your own thinking or your conscious mind.

The image you hold of yourself is a premise, a base or a foundation upon which your entire personality is built. This feeling, this image not only controls your behavior, it also controls your circumstances.

When you truly desire something, you have made a direct connection with everything and everyone necessary for the materialization of your goal. These feelings and expectations then start attracting it to you and moving you to it. As you keep these feelings and expectations in the back of your mind, expect something wonderful to happen.

The world has always cried for men and women with the attitude to take action and get things done. People who are self starters and who see a task, see it  through to its finish. It isn’t how much you know, but what action you take and get done that the world remembers and rewards. People are held back from success because they don’t take action more than any other reason.

This large group of people know what to do and almost do it on time. They almost win promotions. They almost become leaders. They almost are not lazy. Often they are more busy than the very effective few. They putter around, unfocused, all day long and half the night and fail to accomplish much.

They are held back by indecision, by the lack of a worthy ideal. Their daily work lacks meaning. They wander aimlessly and they get nowhere because they don’t chart a straight course and stick to it. You don’t need to work harder, you need to work more effectively. You must learn to make your work count.

It’s the producers who raise the world’s standard of living. It’s the producers with attitude who win the big share of the world’s’d rewards. Ignore the excuses and produce.

Keep Improving.

Once people have become proficient in any particular field, they usually stop learning and of course from that point forward, they cease to improve. This means you can easily rise above your peers with a little extra effort. The people who put forth the extra effort are the same people who can demand and receive the lion’s share of the income in their field.

Those that keep improving and get things done are continually supported by the right attitude. It is this attitude that always prompts them daily to prepare and plan each day. They will usually meet each day doing these same tasks.

  1. Carry a small note pad to write down things to be done.
  2. Plan your day “tightly.
  3. Plan meetings for the beginning of the day. Have an agenda for each meeting.
  4. Schedule out going calls to be taken in one sitting.
  5. Plan things you can work on while in transit.
  6. Plan all your time. Plan tomorrow tonight.

It’s attitude that creates the discipline to hold these tasks together for success.

Produce Regardless.

Many of the world’s great producers have had excuses for not getting things done. Maintaining the right attitude they have been able to ignore the excuses and have produced. They have produced regardless.

Sir Walter Raleigh built a great tobacco empire. Asked how he accomplished so much in such a short period of time. Raleigh replied,” Having the right attitude when there was anything to do, I’d start it:

  • Don’t look at a thing; Start it.
  • Don’t imagine it is to difficult; Start it.
  • Don’t pretend that you must think it over. Start it.
  • Don’t put it off for a day. Start it.
  • Don’t look for someone else to do it. Start it.

Don’t start halfheartedly. Put everything you can muster into your start. With a forceful start you can do anything. A person with the right attitude who is doing their best today, is truly alive. Your attitude is the main factor that will let you maintain your ability to persist.

  1. Hi!
Great post, I 100% agree with it. To be happy and change your life you have to mentally act on it. You have to make the best of your circumstances. You won’t get anywhere in life if you become complacent. I have been adapting similar methods to my life here recently and it feels amazing.
Thank you for the enlightening post.

  2. Very well said. I truly believe what you said is true “No one can cause you to feel bad. You cause these feelings yourself. You will control your own feelings when you have developed complete control of your own thinking or your conscious mind.” I cant say enough how much I liked this post. Attitude is key in being happy and I do believe we have control over the way we feel. Thanks.

  3. Your posts are exactly what people who are successful accomplish there dreams and goals because of ONE THING, Attitude! You squarely hit the nail. Great Post

  4. Hi Stephen

For many years I used to think that I had no control over any thought that fell into my head. Fortunately I am more enlightened now and completely agree with the points in this article. We can absolutely choose to keep a good attitude regardless of the circumstances or go off and lick our wounds when having a bad day. If you want to be successful you need to put disappointment behind you and decide to give it your best, every single day.

I look foward to keping up with your articles.

    Kind regards,
