Change Your Life through Goal Setting.

Dream. Goal achievers change their lives. They do not limit themselves. There is no reason why you cannot change your life and have the good you desire, as long as you can see yourself with it. Your imagination is one of your most marvelous faculties. Do what all Goal Achievers do and use it properly.

IT’S YOUR CALL.

There are people who always play it safe. They never tackle more than they are sure they can handle without effort and risk.Thus, they invite neither triumph nor defeat. They never learn the greatness of their mental ability, nor the strength of their endurance. Goal achievers are potential pathfinders, eagerly in search of a trail to blaze. You need to make sure your goal is big and interesting enough to really fire up your emotions.

Only YOU can decide what your goal is going to be. Others may offer suggestions but you and only you can make the final decision. You can not commit yourself to someone else’s goal or one you set to please someone else.

Your goal should be something you want, not something you need. There is inspiration in wants. The goal does not have to be logical, in fact, you are most probably more inspired if it is totally illogical. It is important to be emotionally attached to your goal. If the road gets tough it will be easier to overcome.

You must understand that you already have – in substance if not in physical form – all that is necessary to produce any result in your life.

THINK BIG.

 

Setting goals leads you to success. Some high achievers reach their goals, but end up missing their lives in the process. They discover they were the wrong goals and the wrong path to get there. Don’t set goals for the wrong reason.

Setting goals brings you an awesome life. Setting goals creates a journey. You need to figure out the things that would create a fun, meaningful, compelling journey. Ask yourself;

  • How do I want to spend my time?
  • What daily activities make me want to leap out of bed?
  • What do I want to learn?.
  • What would I like to as work that wouldn’t be work to me, just pure fun?

Shape your life in a way that delights you. It is your opportunity to write your own story. Give yourself permission to think big. This long term focus shifts your search area from what brings you happiness to what will give your life meaning. Work to derive meaning in your life from the pursuit of a challenging and worthwhile goal. Don’t confuse happiness with meaning. Happiness is only in the moment.

MAXIMIZE YOUR SUCCESS.

The first step is to generate a list of goals to choose from. Set goals that motivate you. Set goals for yourself as it is important that they motivate you. This means making sure that they are important to you and that there is value in achieving them.

Set goals that relate to a higher purpose. All achievement requires commitment. So to maximize the likelihood of success, you need to feel a sense of urgency and have an “I must do this” attitude. Goals must be specific, clear and well-defined. You need goals to show you the way. Make it as easy as you can to get where you want to go by defining precisely where you want to end up.

Set measurable goals. Include, price, precise amounts, dates and so on in your goals, so you can measure your degree of success. You need to measure your success, so you don’t miss out on the celebration that comes with knowing you have actually achieved something.

Make sure that it’s possible to achieve the goals you set. However, resist the urge to set goals that are too easy. By setting realistic, yet challenging goals, hit the balance you need. These are the types of goals that require you to raise the bar. Your goals must have a deadline.

Set goals in writing. The physical act of writing down a goal makes it real and tangible. As you write, use the word will instead of would like or might. Write your goal statement positively.

With every choice comes a corresponding opportunity cost. What would you need to sacrifice to pursue this goal? The goal must still excite you after you’ve recognized the price you will have to pay for its achievement.

KEEP ACHIEVING.

 

 

Achieving goals is a creative process. First step in the creation of achieving your goal, is its place in your conscious mind. Through the aid of your senses and or your imagination you must form a very clear concise image of yourself already in possession of your goal

Your picture should then be painted with words in as much detail as possible. Picture or imagine your goal in the present. It is vitally important your image being the present, not the future. Mind only deals with the present and the now. These are your images. If you are already in possession of the food that you desire, and you consciously entertain yourself, the possession of the goal is actually on a conscious level.

Through the power of autosuggestion, the image will be properly deposited in the treasury of your subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is often referred to as the universal intelligence.

Once your goal is properly planted in your subconscious mind the image is not only automatically expressed through your body in vibration or actions but you are affected by everything in the universe that is in harmony with its vibration. You’re firmly planted image sets in motion a magnetic force to attract into your life all that it is in harmony with.

Paint your picture with words. Once you’ve chosen your main goal, it is vital that you have a crystal clear picture of every detail in writing. Picture your goal in your mind and then make a written description of the goal. You should be relaxed when you consciously paint the mental picture in words. As you make your written description, you will be developing cells of recognition in the brain. Every time in the future you think of your goal, These brain cells increase the amplitude of vibration. This will allow the image you have impregnated into the cells to flash on the screen of your mind. Reinforcement and repetition allows continual action towards achieving your goal.

BECOME EMOTIONALLY ATTACHED.

The moment you consciously entertain the image of yourself in possession of your goal you have the first level of creation. You then plant the image in the proper environment – your subconscious mind, and let yourself get emotionally involved with the image of your goal. The moment you get emotionally involved with your goal, the image instantly and automatically begins to move into physical form.

Goal setting is an ongoing activity. The law of gender decrees that all seeds have a gestation period or incubation period before they manifest in form. Remain focused and determined to achieve. Never change the goal. Change the time or the plan, but keep focused on the goal.

Henry David Thoreau said “What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals”.

  1. A lot of people when they are trying to achieve their goals get overwhelmed by the process of actually creating the life they want. What I do is celebrate every step that I complete throughout my journey. Not necessarily throwing a party every time I get a line of code to work, but just standing up for a second to just let out some excitement.

    Doing this allows me to stay motivated for long periods of time, celebrating every step of the way, and enjoying the process.
