Change Your Thoughts – Change Your Life

Why can 2 similar businesses in close proximatey to each other achieve dramatically different results? Why in tight financial economies can one business still do exceptionally well while all others fail.

We are products of other peoples habitual way of thinking. Namely, parents, grandparents, teachers and friends. Their thinking, becoming our thoughts, has made most of us the way we are today.

Thoughts are very important. We become what we think about. They control every decision we make. Everything happens twice. First when we think about it and secondly when it becomes reality. We are required to replace our old conditioning and replace negative habits with positive ones to change our lives. Most of us are followers. We need to choose our own thoughts rather than accept them from outside sources.

We all live using our five senses, see, hear, smell, taste and touch. These senses continue to support our old conditioning. Only accept the thoughts you want to. Reject the others. We misunderstand that we already have, in substance, if not in physical form, all that is necessary to produce any results we want in our life.

  • Set Goals.
  • Decision.
  • Attitude.
  • Belief.
  • Take Action.

What Would You Love?


James Allen said “People are anxious to improve their circumstances but unwilling to improve themselves, they therefore remain bound.”

The first step in changing your life and creating the future you want is to build a mental picture of how you would like to live. Take the time to write it down. Something you are personally drawn to. You should not have to justify it. Do not limit yourself. There is no reason why you cannot have what you desire if you can see yourself with it. Your imagination is one of your most marvelous mental faculties. Let it fly. Make sure what you want is big and interesting enough to fire up your emotions.

It is essential then, that you set goals and steps, to create the life you want.

Set Goals


Happiness and peace of mind are not goals. They are conditions of life that all thinking people want and can most certainly obtain.

Goals work for everybody. Goals are designed to assist you in bridging the gap which lies between where you presently are in your life and where you truly want to be. Goals create a higher degree of awareness which will be yours as the effect of doing what you must do to reach your goals becomes part of your daily routine. Happy, healthy and wealthy individuals are definitely not lucky. They have consciously or unconsciously made a decision. A decision to achieve their goals.

To live the life you want, goals are essential. Your goal should be something you want not something you need. Goals must be specific. Never change the goal. Change the time, change the plan, but keep focused on the goal,

All things are possible. The goal creates the journey. The journey builds you personal growth so that you have the ability to achieve your goals.



Having decided what you want, make an irrevocable decision to get what you want without violating the rights of others.

Nothing will happen unless you now make the decision to start. Winning is a decision. Once you have made the decision everything that you need will begin to flow into your mind. Make sure that the decision is firm enough to hold onto your vision and new positive ways. Charge your decision with enthusiasm. Do not let old conditioning prevent you from becoming everything you are capable of becoming. You must get emotionally involved with higher ideas, that are currently not in harmony with your present conditioning, to grow.



The shape and purpose of changing your life is determined to a great extent by your attitude. Attitude is the composite of your thoughts feelings and actions. Successful people radiate confidence and assurance. Successful people expect success and they get success.

There is no inspiration in a plan but there is in a vision. You should follow your inner thoughts and not be swayed by the opinion of others or outside circumstances.



There are countless stories of men and women who had great purpose and high ideals. They worked toward and reached incredible goals. They would be up against obstacles and circumstances that would have stopped normal people. But they never appeared to waiver. It seemed nothing could stop them. What made these people great was their belief. It was unshakable. No one and nothing could disturb or destroy their belief. Everyone has been blessed and endowed with the tools. Your faith must not be blind. Your faith must be of strong foundation and understanding.

Take Action.


Take action. It is essential to have an indication of what you want. Make the decision to improve the quality of your life, set goals and have attitude to change your life. It all starts with thought. You must move from where you are to where you want to be.

The biggest handicap to changing your life is not lack of brains, nor lack of character or willingness. It is weakness in getting things done. Live your life each day as you would climb a mountain.

Harold V Melchert wrote:

“An occasional glance towards the summit keeps the goal in mind, but many beautiful scenes are to be observed from each new vantage point. Climb slowly, steadily, enjoying each passing moment, and the view from the summit will serve as a fitting climax for the journey.”

Plant the seed and cultivate your mind. Keep it negative thought free, give your goals energy and you will grow.

Hi there, this is a really beautiful post, there’s several things here which never occurred to me- like what you said about everything happening twice, once when you think it and again when it becomes reality. It reminded me how important it is to stay in charge of our thought life, it sounds quite law of attraction based which is something I really enjoy learning about.

    I like what you said too about belief and it not being a case of blinding ourselves but being based on a strong understanding. This is so true, and I completely agree- if we want to achieve amazing things we have to sometimes subvert normal expectations and go above and beyond them. This is a really great article and I look forward to seeing what you write next 🙂

    This is a great article. You never really think about how our own thinking affects our goals. You are so right to let the negative go and think positive to keep moving forward toward the summit.

  4. In summary, people need to think positively and take massive actions to make their dreams come true. I do believe that everything could be so much better if we change our mind and only focus on the bright side.
    I used to think negatively until I learned the law of attraction 15 years ago. Since then, everything is becoming lighter and easier than in the past. So, I can relate to what you mentioned in this beautiful article.
    About taking action, I’ve heard so many times that my friends only think about doing something instead of really rolling their sleeves into changes. Therefore, I might be the one who shows them the correct path or share them with your article. 🙂
